The Economic impact of Expo 2020 Dubai

Expo 2020 Dubai and also referred to (EXPO) is an international event that will be held and hosted in Dubai. Dubai is a globe city and the business hub is western Asia. The main aim of the Expo is to entertain and educate a global audience, and celebrate innovation and development of the city, promote progress and foster cooperation.

Analysis and statistics show that Expo 2020 is a long term investment for the United Arab of Emirates, it is expected to create direct and indirect jobs and expected to have a significant positive impact on the UAE’s economy now, during, and after the even, this is through:
– Construction activity, especially in the Pre-Expo phase.
– Commercial activity and visitors to DEC during the Legacy phase.

Over some studies that have been made by “Ernst & Young Middle East”, AED40.1b is expected to be invested in infrastructure and other capital asset.
As some studies have been made, the expected visits to the Expo 2020 is 25 million and 190 country participants. Visitor expenditure is expected to be the key driver of the economic contribution in the During Expo period.

The main site of Expo Dubai 2020 will be a 438-hectare area (1083 acres) located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, near Dubai’s southern border with Abu Dhabi. The master plan, has been designed by the American firm HOK, is organized around a central plaza, entitled Al Wasl, enclosed by three large Thematic district. 
Each One is dedicated to one of the sub-themes of Expo2020 – Opportunity, Mobility, Sustainability. Dubai has been emphasizing on investment in various sectors such as economic growth, real estate, environmental avenues and public affairs. Recently, Dubai has made major investment in Real Estate.  Dubai has introduced the world’s largest Solar Power Project which is all to start by Expo 2020.   The initiative, Dubai Happiness Agenda, has 16 programmes under four themes that sum up to 82 projects to set in the city with aim to make the city the happiest by 2020. The Dubai Expo 2020 also would see a rise in the GDP as predicted by the International Monetary Fund.
